                                         Birds Anonymous 30 Day Guarantee of Health 

Birds Anonymous (BA) may offer a guarantee that certain birds will be healthy and disease free at the time the bird(s) leave our care and for at least 30 days after purchase.  It is highly recommended, and a requirement of this guarantee, to take all purchased birds to an Avian Veterinarian for an exam within 5 calendar days after purchase. Failure to do so will void this guarantee. Examination should include, at least, an exam, and any other test the vet feels necessary to assure the bird(s) health, such as cbc, culture and/or fecal gram stain.  Documentation of such exam must be provided with any claim on this guarantee.
    
Quarantine: All new birds should be quarantined away from other birds for at least 30 days , many specialists recommend 45-60 days. This protects both your existing and new feathered friends. Proper care: hand washing and changing of clothes, should be practiced between contact with other birds, as well as after contact with pet stores or aviaries prior to re-entering your home. 
  
In no case can BA be held responsible for the cost of examination, testing, necropsy, histopathology, clinical pathology, microbiology, toxicology, etc.     Requirements of this Health Guarantee This guarantee is void if all the following requirements are not met. 
 
{1} New bird(s) must be taken to an Avian Vet within 5 days of purchase and must remain quarantined for at least 30 days.  All birds should be kept away from heat/air vents as well as direct drafts.
   
{2} In the event of claim upon this guarantee, you must provide proof of health and past medical history of any other birds owned.
  
{3} Bird type, Band number, and dated exam/test results must be provided to BA if any problems are found with the bird(s) purchased. If any problems are found during the avian exam, BA MUST be notified immediately. 
 
{4} Band(s) should never be removed from the bird. If, in the case of medical necessity, a band needs to be removed, it must be done by an avian vet and such acts indicated on vet medical records, including number of the band removed.

{5} In the event that the bird(s) die within the 30 day guarantee period, the bird must be wrapped in paper towels, placed in a plastic bag and refrigerated (Not Frozen), and taken to a qualified avian vet for Necropsy, including complete histopathology within 72 hours after death. All necropsy reports and examination documentation must be sent to BA for evaluation from our Avian vet.  Bird type and Band number MUST be on necropsy report.  If all requirements of this guarantee are met and the necropsy proves beyond doubt that cause of death originated from BA, a full refund for the cost of the bird(s), or replacement of bird(s) will be provided. No refund or replacement on inconclusive findings.  Quarantine is buyers responsibility, therefore, BA bears no liability for death or problems occurring in other birds or the new bird caused by transmission of disease, unless such disease is identified during the initial exam as required in #1.
    
No refund or replacement due to abuse, injury, improper care, malnutrition, mistreatment or neglect while in the owners care.  No reimbursement for cages, supplies or other items related to bird(s) will be made.
  
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  No returns, exchanges or refunds, except as stated above.  While we make every effort to ensure our birds are sweet, lovable and well socialized, there is no guarantee on how they will mature in your home or their breeding potential.  You are responsible in the training and behavior of your bird.  So, please, research and learn what you can do to achieve the best possible pet potential for your feathered companion.
